I am not much of a fan of the Democrats. Like the GOP, they seem to be owned by the ultra-wealthy — donors who have purchased the bulk of American politicians and who determine policy. Plutocracy is bipartisan.
However, that’s only economic policy. That’s something very important — it allows the undeserving and unproductive rich to abuse the working people and the poor — the people who do ALL the productive work. So, Democrats are a big part of a terrible problem.
That said, the GOP is uniquely cruel and abusive, and clearly gets JOY in being cruel and abusive. This is, in fact, psychosis.
When I think of the GOP, I think of:
Hatred of women; and abortion using wire hangers and unfettered misogyny
Nazis and the Confederacy and fascism and racism and brutality.
Treason and violence and rioting.
Dehumanization of non-white people, of people with different religions and ideologies, of barbaric violence and anger.
Concentration camps for immigrants, and going to court to deny soap and toothbrushes to small children, forcibly separated from their parents.
Lies and repetition of lies, of lies big and small, of lying as a fundamental value, as a way of life and a justification for unconscionable viciousness.
