When I was a kid, my father who managed a textile plant was fired on Christmas eve for holding a party for the employees and sending them home early to enjoy the holiday with their families.

He was FIRED for this.

Now here's the punchline. We're Jewish.

When I started my career, I never forgot how employers treat people. I have no respect for any "work ethic" that punishes kindness and rewards a greedy few with astoundingly huge unearned wealth—all created by employees and stolen from them.

Quiet quitting is a fine thing especially if you are not in a position to do outright quitting.
