The system is a catastrophic failure.
Our problems aren’t superficial. They lie at the core of our civilization. Every major human-created system currently in place negatively impacts the common good. But it’s worse than that.
Capitalism, socialism, democracy and dictatorship are all destroying the planet, favoring power and profit for a few select individuals — over human life and Nature.
All of these systems (and leaders who operate within them) are dooming our children and most of the species that share the Earth. We were given this beautiful planet, co-evolved to live comfortably within this biosphere. Now, most of us are cooperating with or even supporting systems that are laying the entire thing to waste.
Human Law vs. Natural Law
For every law that protects the climate and the environment and the planet, there’s always several deadly ones that accelerate its destruction. An even the much heralded Inflation Reduction Act, which was billed as a climate protection measure (because it offers incentives for companies to invest in renewable energy) also opens up pristine chunks of Alaskan wilderness to oil drilling by ConocoPhillips.
