Yes, the GOP is the worst, but remember that Democrats have not done anything meaningful about the climate crisis. Ever. Don’t talk to me about the Inflation Reduction Act. Calling that “too little, too late” would be generous.
Congress was warned publicly IN 1988! They were told there would be dire consequences if we didn’t sharply slash fossil fuel use and C02 emissions. It’s 2023 and C02 emissions are STILL INCREASING.
As I write this, smoke from huge fires in Canada is sweeping across the United States. New York City is said to have the worst air quality on the planet. And, in Philly, it’s also very bad. I’m wearing my N95 mask INDOORS and I can still smell the smoke.

The writing is on the wall. This is total failure and total disaster. We need decisive meaningful action RIGHT NOW, guided by climate scientists — people who know something.
