Yes. There must be camaraderie and fun. I absolutely agree.

There was some of that in Occupy. That playfulness is part of what it takes to take a billion (or more) caring people who are on the sidelines and release their inner activist.

My tone varies. But there is an underlying optimism; it’s a real optimism based on truth. We can fix this. We have great scientists and engineers.

We have caring people. We need to remove the greedy fools who have done all the damage—and are somehow still in charge.

We can. Nobody can control people who refuse to be controlled.

My vision is of a popular revolution fueled by love of our children and our planet. It’s fueled by the knowledge that plutocrats and dictators are powerless if people refuse to cooperate and even sabotage”business as usual.”

We will solve this (largely) at thee energy production level—by stopping oil and speeding clean energy.

Be patient with the yellers and the angry climate activists. None of us are perfect and Extinction Rebellion (and others) are making important contributions.

But the positive, stubborn, humorous and fun part of the climate movement needs to be built up. That’s something I’ve been working on.
