You accurately assess the priorities of the corporate-financed politician, those I call the bribe-takers. (And nearly every elected official is sustained by bribes.)
But you overestimate the capability of both politicians and the plutocrats who own them. Both are rapidly destroying the habitability of the Earth, dooming future generations, including their own children.
Their "victory" is worse than useless, and those among them who live long enough will see what fools they have been and that they have wasted their entire lives. Those who die sooner will never realize their folly and will die in ignorance—the same way they lived.
