You are genuinely kind and thoughtful. But, as someone who has never owned a car, and uses nearly everything until it breaks, I’m sorry to say that lowering our personal carbon footprints won’t save us.

The carbon footprint was heavily promoted by oil companies to divert attention and responsibility from them to us. Well meaning people like you were targeted. Successfully.

I think it’s good for us to individually do what we can. But if we don’t stop ExxonMobil and Shell and BP and Chevron…well, our grandchildren are already as good as dead.
