You are missing the most important point: this Earth cannot support the population we have. We are destroying the planet's habitability with fossil fuels and other toxins in order to continue systems and rules and economics and politics that will kill us all.
The climate collapse—as we now see—is quicker and more severe than scientists had predicted. It's not that scientists were wrong; they are by nature, cautious. They DON'T casually make alarming pronouncements.
Yet, now they say that our planet is at Code Red. They tell us that this is "last call for humanity."
We have more than enough people. We have too many people. A drop in fertility is not a problem. In fact, we should be sensible enough to CHOOSE to reduce our birthrate, just as we should eliminate the use of fossil fuels.
Our leaders and systems are incompatible with human survival. They are causing the current Great Extinction. They are responsible for the multiple crises we face and if we allow them to continue, we are dead.
We will not allow them to continue. We will protect Nature, we will protect our children, we will protect animals and plants and insects. We will protect LIFE.
