You are, of course, right. Why, after 26 similar conferences accomplished nothing, would anyone bother to hold a 27th? Sadly, those “leaders” choosing not to attend aren’t doing so because they are busy implementing solutions. In many cases, they are signaling that they oppose climate action.

In truth, nearly every “leader” on Earth—attending or not—is a catastrophic failure. This is demonstrated by the fact that, with decades of warning and even as the climate collapses in plain view, the “leaders” continue to offer excuses and not meaningful action.

For the sake of the Earth, for our children, and for our souls, we must remove these dangerous people from the halls of power now and replace them with sane, caring people who will take the emergency measures required for our species to have a future.
