You know, every border is xenophobic and racist. Borders exist to keep “the other” out. Their existence is okay only insofar as we label people as “other” and vilify them and identify them as the enemy. Ideally, you can convince people that “the other” is less than human.

We need bigger changes than mere geopolitical developments that enables “our side” to “win.”
