You know what? I’m done reading about how brilliant new technology will save us from climate collapse.
It’s bullshit.
We’ve had all kinds of clean energy technology for decades and fossil fuel use continues increasing and C02 emissions keep increasing.
ZERO progress has ever been made, nor will it under our current leadership or systems.
We must immediately sharply slash C02 emissions. Full stop. That’s Nature and biology. There is no new technology—any more than existing clean energy technology—that will get this done.
So, f-ck the technology. Yes, it’s potentially good, but with the current leadership and a world of domineering petro-plutocrats, it’s merely window-dressing.
Actually, it’s worse than that. It provides cover for ecocidal maniacs.
Instead of fooling ourselves, let’s take charge from the fools who are killing us, killing themselves, killing their own children and ours. That’s the REQUIRED step.
BTW, the notion that somebody will get fusion working by 2028 when it’s just been announced we’ll be blowing past 1.5 degrees Celsius increase by 2027…well, c’mon! WFT!
