You will probably want to read my next piece. I believe we should stop producing commodities and only produce necessities: food, shelter and medicine. We should share these and we’d have much more time, not wasting our lives creating mountains of commodified crap.

We’d have much less stuff, and much more time to LIVE. Nominally, it may be austerity. But it’s giving up nearly worthless stuff to gain actual time and life.

Yeah, saving the Earth requires smarter, better humans. We can start now and others will catch up.
