The premise of this book is preposterous. It claims that the only way to save the planet from climate collapse is to continue to entrust it to the very people and systems that brought us to the edge of extinction.
Even TODAY, as the planet visibly burns, our "nation states" are scrambling for MORE fossil fuels to burn. They have done NOTHING MEANINGFUL EVER to seriously address the crisis. THEY ARE THE PROBLEM.
A better approach is to put young climate activists in charge, people of the generation who will inherit the Earth that has already been irreparably damaged by the nation states. And how about a worldwide program designed by climate scientists and engineers to TAKE EMERGENCY ACTION because this is an ACTUAL EMERGENCY?!
Yes, we know what's needed. And that's NOT any of our current leaders—people who must be forcibly retired now—along with their sclerotic petroleum fueled systems.
